Saint Charles, King & Martyr

$26.99

Available in 10.5” x 8” size. Printed with vibrant ink on durable white metal. Possibly not toxic given there being no glue, no laminate and no composite wood. Our printer will not use the wood products because of concerns that the staff be exposed to toxic materials. Same with glue and laminates. A caution many might observe. Kyrie Eleison.

St. Charles enjoys a broad base of genuine admirers, a few dedications and would have more were it not for Puritan and similar elements in the politics of Church administration. The Church of England removed Charles, King and Martyr from the BCP after Victoria married a Lutheran. The Churches of Rome and the Greek East perceive no advantage in his canonisation, even if anyone “in power” knows of him. Like the Roman Emperor St. Constantine, Charles King and Martyr is popularly canonised for what he did, the defence of the Church against heretical Puritan claims to abolish her Apostolic Order, rather than his personal claims to moral rectitude. St. Charles King and Martyr, ora pro nobis.
