St. Nestor Icon
St. Nestor
Bishop of Magydos. Pamphylia, and martyr. He was arrested during the
persecution
under Emperor Trajanus
Decius and
was put to death when he refused to make sacrifices to the gods. The local
governor, Pollio, condemned Nestor to death.
